I was just wondering if anyone could share with me their experiences with trying free advertising. I am just getting started with this and was just wondering what works and doesn’t work. If you have any advice I am open to listen! Thanks

Hey there,

I have tried all kinds of free advertising. The absolute best place I have found to advertise any business or income opportunity is on any free ad forums. You can recieve a ton of information on them, as well as you can meet a lot of experienced people who can get you started in the right direction. Very Happy

Hi Marlys,

I told Kim that it wouldnt be very long before she was helping other people and she has started all ready and I would put money on You doing the same in a couple of months.

You have asked about "free advertising" well You are using it now. I have been around for a while now and the best thing that ever happened to me was when I discovered free advertising forums, before that I was taking one step forward and two steps back.

Keep posting on every forum that You can find even the ones that only have a few members and always include a signature, this is a very important thing to do. Then start going to the introduction sections on forums and start welcoming people.

You will notice that the more "Well known" names around the forums ie Captkirk, Homebiz71, SLG promotions etc do this as their signatures are indexed by search engines and people tend to click on them while they are browsing. Keep at it and things will start to happen for You.

Follow the link below to a really great forum and a thread about free advertising that You might find interesting and please feel free to PM me if You have any problems or need any help.( Or should that be PM Kim because she has learnt a lot in a very short space of time WELL DONE KIM)

Andrew, when I post at these free ad forums, should I post other places than the welcome? My guess is your answer will be yes, but how does a person find the time to post on all these forums? Just wondering because it takes me lots of time just to post an ad everyday - if the forum allows that - and then visit the welcome thread and post welcomes to everyone.

First of all, I would like to thank Andrew for his kind words. He knows and I know that I have achieved what I have achieved only because of the help I recieved in the beginning from him and others like him. I really can't thank him enough Very Happy

What I learned, the hard way is that you have to pick a select few of forums to advertise in, because unfortunately, there are not enough hours in the day. Once you have registered for all these forums, you will eventually know which ones are the best ones for your opportunity or business. You will learn all this through trial and error, and A LOT of pm'ing andrew. Really he doesn't mind Laughing

If you have anyother questions or problems, stop by again, and I'll try to help you, but if I can't I know someone who probably can.

Hi Marlys and Kim,

It looks like Kim and I are going to have our first row!

I dont agree about picking just a few busy forums to post on as I think they are all important and people stumble across the quiet ones as well so if You have an advert there it will be found. Also if You only post on busy forums then new ones like this one would never get started, You will notice Kim that the admins of busy forums make a point of searching out and supporting new forums.

I have not been as active as normal for the last couple of months as I would normally be through ill health and having to spend quite a lot of time in hospital but I soon caught up and found it quite easy.

When it comes to welcoming people to forums You dont have to visit them every day, I have a seperate folder in "my favourites" for forums and only visit some of them every two or three weeks to see what is happening, what has been posted and who has joined which in most cases is only three or four new members so it only takes a few minutes to say hello but that makes a lasting impression especially on people who are new to forums it does quite literally make them feel welcome after months of seeing endless anonyamous afilliate websites all of a sudden they have a site that talks back and offers support instead of trying to empty their wallets.

People You welcome click on Your links, they remember You, and You start to build a trust which the so called "Internet Gurus" can only dream
about.

Sorry Im ranting again but You will notice all the "big guns" in the forums welcome people and I think would all say You get better results from welcoming people than You do from posting ads in other sections of a forum.

Well Ive bored You enough now, speak to You again soon (If You let me)

ps I wouldnt really have a row with You Kim

best wishes

Great advice guys!
And I totally agree with you Andrew. It don't matter how big or small the forum is, if there is a place to advertise, then advertise. I always use free advertising and most of it is using the forums. Anyone whoever asks me for advice on advertising, I let them know that the forums are the best place to do it and to always use the signature, not only are you getting your links seen, but you get the chance to make some new friends especially by intoducing yourself to new members, but the forums are filled with great advice and alot of great people to help you out if you need it. I have learned most of what I know from the forums from reading and asking and learning from others. My main program is doing great and I am making a great income and I use free advertising always. I belong to numerous forums and certain ones I may only get to once a week and some everyday, you just have to play around a little and see which ones are working for you the best. As with anything you are promoting, you want to advertise at least once a day and you will see results. Also most forums have a forum list where you can find new forums which makes it alot easier than searching for them yourself. I have learned alot in the last year and now administrate 2 of my own free advertising forums which are doing pretty good.
If anyone ever needs my help for anything you can feel free to pm me anytime and I'll try my best to help in any way I can.
Best wishes,
Sonya

Hi Sonya,

Thanks for backing me up, posting on forums both big and small is not a chore it is just that the busier ones might need visiting more than the quieter ones but they are all equally important otherwise new forums like this one would never get started.

I have gained more new members from small forums like this than from big forums, they are all important and You would be making a big mistake to think that only big forums are worth posting on.

best wishes

OK guys, this is why I say I'm still learning. What I ment by my previous post was not necessary posting in the bigger forums, but I myself am running out of hours in the day so I am not able to get into ALL the free forums that I have joined. But I do think that any free forums you join are the most effective way of advertising.

Did I say that better this time?? Laughing

And no, andrew I'm really not up to having a row with you either Laughing

Hi Kim,

Im glad You havent fallen out with me and yes You did say it better this time.

I know what You mean about running out of hours in the day because like You I have a proper job as well. I find that You dont need to spend hours posting on every forum every day I just check them out and update them as Im passing through and that seems to work.

best wishes

Hi all,
I agree with Andy. Hes right on the money. I also agree Andy is more than willing to answer any questions, hes a big help. Thanks Andy. We need to support the big forums and the small ones. I have 5 forums now, and not all members are the same on each. I have the main ones like Andy, captkirk, Andre and a few others on 3 of them, but I just started 2 new ones only 3 people on those last time I checked. Maybe I should quit starting so many forums, but their addictive to start and work on when I get a chance. I won`t start anymore for a while, I promise. We need all the advertising forums we can get though. What I do is like Andy said go around to them and update them as I get time. If Im wrong on this correct me Andy I post my business only everyonce in a while, but I welcome everyone to the forums, or if they beat me to the forum I say hi in their introduction. If peoploe are interested in what you have they are able to pull up all your post and see what you have to offer. Great advice from all. To your success! Very Happy

I see I need to start another section like this on my forums.
